On the day of your event, a conference check-in software would be rendered useless if you have not adequately prepared your staff on how to use it. Any event registration software involves a learning curve and your staff should be able to surpass it with proper training.

A check-in software may manifest through an onsite check-in app. It is a mobile application that can be downloaded to smartphones or tablets. Here are simple steps in order to make sure that all processes pertaining to check-in will run smoothly on the big day using the app and event registration software:

  1. Train your staff days before the event.

After learning from the software provider on what the functions are of the application, you will need to impart this knowledge to your staff days before the event. You may also do run-throughs or mock check-ins in order for them to be fully engaged during the learning process. Never let them use the software for the first time on the day of the event if you would want to prevent setbacks.

  1. Employ the use of multiple devices

When looking for a conference check-in software, it is highly recommended that it is optimised for the mobile platform. Depending on the size of your event, you may need to download the event management app to multiple mobile devices. The more mobile devices holding the software, the more staff members can use it.
